Though I have a lot to learn about healing I like to share what I learn. Using mouse over macros are very useful specially in bgs and raids. using raid frames in bgs to heal is next to impossible specially when you get into a 40 man bgs and you're raid frame takes up half of your screen, but by using mouse over macros you can change the need for a raid frame with different possibilities. what is a mouse over macro? basically! this

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover] Rejuvenation

this macro allows you to hit a key bind on this macro (like setting this macro to 1 or 2 slot in your action bar) will cast it on which ever unit or player your mouse is hovering over. so if you over a player that is struggling in a fight in a bg instead of trying to find him on your raid frame. you can cast your mouse over him and hit the key bind saving time. and the players life. in raiding this can be useful too. since 40 man raids are no more. we can use mouse over macros differently. everyone has their own way My way is to use raid frames to keep track of hp and debuffs. u use a custom ui called evl UI that has a built in grid like ui for raid frames. which works with mouse over cause i can mouse over the characters that need heals and spam key binds
which looks like this

there are other not complicated addons that work well this this technique. like grid or even the blizzard original raid frame they work too.

NOT JUST FOR HEALERS!!! imagine not having to hit tab all the time. this works with spells to like moon fire just replace rejuvenation with what ever castable spell you want. the only spells that dont work for this are placable ones like efflorescence and star fall. the posibilies are endless! have fun with it too! its a game!

#showtooltip
/yell KAHMEHAMEHA!!
/cast [@mouseover] Solar Wrath

#showtooltip
/yelll Expelliarmus!
/cast [@mouseover] Moonfire

harry potter reference

Kabloomia has shared a modified version of this macro for dps here it is thanks Kabloomia

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover, harm, nodead] Sunfire; Sunfire
/target [@target, harm, nodead] target; [@mouseover, harm, nodead] mouseover

this will force your target to change to the target you are mouse overing when it is used. useful for moonfire. and etc.
